Doc says "Severe Allergies"

Monday I finished my last 100m sprint at crossfit and collapsed to the ground because I couldn't breathe.  It felt like my lungs were stuck together or something.  Over the weekend I was not feeling 100%.

I asked myself Saturday night what my symptoms were and here's what I came up with:

  1. Lethargy - Absolutely no energy, despite my crossfit and taekwondo.
  2. Hot & Cold Flashes - One minute it's sweatpants and a hoodie while under a blanket, the next it's taking off layers.   I'm not usually like that.
  3. Pressure on the top of my chest/lungs
  4. Short dry cough - Happens after I move around.  It's not a wet cough or a phlegm cough like if you have the flu or allergies.
I almost never have a fever - but last night at my dinner meeting I sure as hell got one.  I was freezing and my face was on fire.

When I was a little kid I had pneumonia 7 times.  The doctors never detected a fever or fluid in my lungs, but they determined it was pneumonia after looking at the chest x-ray.

I went to the doctor on Monday and she examined me, told me it was just severe allergies.  My eyes are not itchy and watery, my face isn't achy from my sinuses, I'm not choking on sinus drainage, and I don't have the all-over body aches.   These are my usual allergy symptoms.  My doctor ordered blood work and a chest x-ray, but never went over the chest x-ray with me.

I haven't worked out since Monday morning.  I feel like poop because of it.  The worst thing is that I might be taking allergy medicine when I need to be taking an antibacterial regiment.  WHY WON'T THEY CALL ME BACK?!  ARGH!  (I have called a few times to get some feedback, but no luck.)
