A New Look!

Like the new look of the blog?  I thought it might be nice to have something a bit new.

This weekend I tried out some new hairstyles.  Not 100% the best.  You never know with hair, unless you give it a try.

The first one is a mix of a poodle updo with....I don't know how to describe it...a double twist in the back.  I didn't pin it enough and it worked its way out.  I talked about this one in my last youtube video.  You can check it out HERE.

The second one has three front curls and the back is simply up in a bun.  I used a white chiffon scarf around the bun, tied it, and put some hair flowers in.  I got a lot of compliments on it, but I felt like it was a little off or something.

As you know, I've been struggling with losing size.  I feel like I'm at a plateau.  Weight-wise (I've been keeping track) I've only been fluctuating between 198 and 201 over the last week.  ARGH!  I'm tracking my food, avoiding pastries and doughnuts at work, and I drink at least a half-gallon of water a day - if not more (not including coffee).  I'm starting to average 4 miles in 30 minutes at the gym, an increase in speed from what used to be my average (3.75/3.8 miles in 30 minutes).

Is it the adrenal exhaustion?  Is my body just dysfunctional?

My usual daily food intake is:

  • Breakfast - 2 eggs, 0.15 lb diced ham, 2 TBSP guacamole
  • Lunch - 1 bag of chopped salad by Fresh Express
  • Dinner - 1 cup broccoli and some kind of meat
  • Drinks - 1/2 gallon of water, sometimes a can of sparkling water, a few cups of coffee, and nothing after 6pm or I'm up peeing all night.
That's it.  On the weekends I tend to switch up breakfast a little bit.  For instance, on Saturday I had a whole papaya and a 100 calorie whipped Greek yogurt.  I don't starve.  If I was hungry, I'd just eat something.  If I have a snack, then it's like a handful of banana chips that always get shared with the dog.  This last week, I tried out Simple Mills Paleo Chocolate Muffin Mix.  So that was a little bit of a switch up.

I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow.  I'm going to ask my doctor about increasing my exercise by taking a few evening classes at the new gym just down the street.

Stay tuned for a product review on Simple Mills.
